About me
More than 20 years of experience in international development, specializing in policy, campaigning, strategizing and communication e.g. as Head of Secretariat of Concord Denmark, Head of Secretariat at Danish NGO-forum, Head of Policy and Campaign at MS ActionAid Denmark, Senior Political Adviser at DanChurchAid and Senior Policy Adviser at Oxfam IBIS. I have also been co-chair of Concord Europe Policy Forum and Beyond2015 Europe.
Independent consultant since 2012 based in Addis Ababa (2018-2021), Copenhagen (2015-2018) and Accra (2012-2015). Among my current and previous clients are e.g. Bread for the World, CARE, Christian Aid, Church of Sweden, Concord Europe, Danida, Danish Institute for Human Rights, Diakonia, FinnChurchAid, DanChurchAid, Global Partnership for Education (GPE), HEKS, ICCO, LEGO FOundation, ActionAid, Norwegian Church Aid, ONE Campaign and Oxfam. Experienced lobbyist and member of many official government delegations, advising Danish, Nordic and European ministers and government officials on development policy issues, including WTOs Ministerial Conferences, World Bank IMF Annual Meetings, FAO World Food Summits, UN High Level Meetings on Finance for Development, Global Fund Donors' Conferences, UNGASS-reviews and the UN Transforming Education Summit (TES). Long-term experience in facilitating global strategies and policy programmes in international civil society organisations in Europe and Africa. E.g a Global Programme on Economic Opportunities and Decent Work for Youth for ActionAid Denmark (2017), formulated CARE’s Civil Society Programme in Ghana (2018), developed a Global Policy Programme for the Danish Disabled People's Organisations (2018), and facilitated a Strategic Plan for The Danish Institute for Human Rights (2018), and developed a Youth Policy Programme in Sierra Leone, Liberia and Ghana for OxfamIBIS (2019).
